Pressley Celebrates $400K for Amplify LatinX Small Business Initiative
The FDA did the right thing when it heeded our call and proposed a ban on formaldehyde in chemical hair relaxers, which disproportionately harm Black women.
That’s why @Rep_Velazquez, @RepShontel & I want FDA to save lives and finalize this ban without delay.
Project 2025 was written by Trump allies for a Trump White House to advance a Trump agenda.
And his DNA & fingerprints are all over it.
We won’t stop conducting oversight, pushing for accountability, and doing everything we can to prevent Project 2025 from becoming reality.
Community orgs like @ifsiusa have been doing essential work supporting immigrant families across Massachusetts.
I’m grateful for all that they do and for the opportunity to hear from them about how we can support their efforts.
Homes in Black neighborhoods are still consistently undervalued by at least 21% less than homes in white neighborhoods.
But relying on AI won’t solve everything.
We need more transparency in how AI valuation models are being trained to ensure fairness in the appraisal industry.
Housing is a human right, and that includes for seniors.
That’s why I’m fighting for investments that help our seniors access safe and affordable housing that meets their needs.

It aims to defund DEI, worsen the Black maternal morbidity crisis, & cut social security & Medicare benefits Black folks have rightfully earned.

@MassGovernor’s agreement to keep six Steward hospitals open in MA is the type of pivotal action needed in this moment, and we urge the Commonwealth to move with the same urgency to keep Carney Hospital in Dorchester open as well.
