No one in Massachusetts—no child, student, parent, or senior—should go hungry.
I held a timely listening session with @RepMcGovern & @ProjectBread to hear from families directly impacted by Republicans’ cruel cuts to food assistance and how we can support them going forward.

Another late night in Congress thanks to Republicans who just passed a shameful rescissions package that guts public broadcasting and critical foreign aid.
The shame and sham of it all. I voted NO.

Breonna Taylor should be alive today. Instead, she was shot and killed while sleeping when officers fired into her home.
By seeking a one-day sentence, in the rare instance where a police officer is actually convicted for murdering a Black woman, Trump’s DOJ is sending a cruel and disrespectful message: that they do not value Breonna’s life, nor the pain and loss endured by her loved ones.
This is an affront to justice, to accountability, and to every person who calls this country home. We should all be outraged.

Republicans’ CLARITY Act green lights crypto schemes, emboldens Trump’s crypto corruption, & lacks critical consumer protections.
The American people deserve crypto legislation that is fair, transparent, & accountable.
The CALAMITY* Act fails that test.

The CFPB was created to protect consumers & prevent another financial crisis like the one in 2008.
It has since returned $21B to victims of predatory financial practices.
By gutting the CFPB & Dodd-Frank, the GOP are prioritizing big bank profits over the wellbeing of everyday people.

The state of our reparations movement is strong, and in this moment of heightened anti-Blackness, we are more resolved than ever.
In the last legislative session, I held a staff briefing to discuss #HR40Reparations & how we can keep pushing to get this bill over the finish line.

We cannot allow AI to go unchecked, unregulated, and be the latest chapter in America’s history of exploiting marginalized groups.
That’s why we must invest in an approach rooted in equity that protects the rights of everyone.

Our interns do incredible work and keep our offices running — taking constituent calls, sorting mail, conducting tours, researching, and so much more.
I’m grateful for Grace, Diana, Bella, and Kristina’s service to the #MA7 and our democracy this past spring session.

Since Dobbs, abortion bans have cost folks’ their lives, worsened the Black maternal health crisis & pushed essential care out of reach.
Now Republicans are gutting Medicaid, defunding Planned Parenthood & moving us closer to a nationwide abortion ban.
The cruelty is the point.
