WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), issued a statement in response to the Trump Administration’s unlawful declaration of a National Emergency:  

The occupant of the White House is dangerous. Dangerous to our economy, to our democracy, and to our humanity. Checks and balances were put in place specifically to prevent the type of self-serving, short-sighted actions this Administration has taken. This fake national emergency declaration is an abuse of power and does nothing to make our country safer.
