Statement From Congresswoman Pressley on Election of Katherine Clark as Assistant Speaker
WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) released the following statement on the election of Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-05) as Assistant Speaker for the 117th Congress:
“I’ve been honored to call Katherine Clark a friend and colleague for several years, and am so excited to soon call her my Assistant Speaker as well. Together, we’ve worked to expand access to early childhood education, demand justice for survivors of workplace harassment, address racial inequities in our schools, and much more. Katherine is a steadfast champion for working people across our Commonwealth and our country, and I know she will continue to center their voices at the leadership table.”
