Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., invoked the traumatized women she had met at migrant detention facilities in Texas on Monday, July 1, in one of a number of speeches made by members of Congress. Pressley also called out hecklers who had gathered. “Keep yelling. This is very appropriate. Vile rhetoric for vile actions. Hateful rhetoric for hateful behavior. Racist words and venom for racist policies. Very appropos,” she said.
