Rep. Ayanna Pressley Reappointed to House Oversight Committee

Pressley Will Return After Serving on Oversight During 116th and 117th Congresses

WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) announced that she has been reappointed to the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability for the 118th Congress, where she will serve on the Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services, and Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation.

“The House Oversight Committee has historically been a venue for making sure government works for the people, and we made history in the 116th and 117th Congresses taking on critical issues like childhood trauma, abortion access, voting rights, Medicare for All, and more,” said Rep. Pressley. “With this chaotic Republican majority using the Committee to pursue sham impeachment inquiries and play political games, I look forward to continuing my work on House Oversight, under the leadership of Ranking Member Raskin, to center the people and spotlight the issues that folks in the Massachusetts 7th care about.”

Rep. Pressley served on the Committee in the 116th and 117th Congresses, where she has participated in historic hearings on issues such as childhood trauma, abortion access, Medicare for All, DC statehood, maternal health justice, and more.

In July 2019, she worked with then-Chairman Cummings to convene the first-ever Congressional hearings on childhood trauma.  Watch Congresswoman Pressley’s full question line and follow-up questions here and here.
