Statement from Congresswoman Pressley on Special Counsel Mueller’s Report

WASHINGTON  – In response to Attorney General William Barr’s four-page summary of Special Counsel Mueller’s 22-month investigation into President Trump’s collusion with the Russain government during the 2016 election, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) released the following statement:

The American people deserve the truth. The summary we received of Special Counsel Mueller’s report is insufficient and does not exonerate the occupant of the White House from obstruction of justice nor abuse of power. Let’s not forget – Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation resulted in 199 criminal charges, 37 indictments or guilty pleas, and 5 prison sentences. While we determine what our next steps are, I will continue upholding my promise to the Massachusetts 7th to address the entrenched inequities and disparities in our district.
