The House Haiti Caucus serves to promote a United States-Haiti policy that advances the freedom and well-being of the Haitian people and diaspora communities, including a Haitian-led democratic transition. In the face of mounting security, economic, and political challenges in Haiti, the Caucus works for a Haiti free from corruption, violence, violations of civil and human rights, and economic and public health crises.

The House Haiti Caucus believes that freedom, democracy, and self determination are the bedrock of Haiti and welcomes any colleague who wishes to join the Caucus in pursuit of a more just domestic and foreign policy that puts the needs and aspirations of the Haitian people first.

The House Haiti Caucus was established by Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (NY-09), Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), Congressman Andy Levin (MI-09), and Congresswoman Val Demings (FL-10) on Haitian Flag Day on May 18, 2021.
